Botanical Paintings

One of my favorite sources of natural pattern is plants. I mean, come on! Have you ever looked at the delicate veins of a leaf? Tried to pick out all the shapes within a tree in full bloom or followed the stripe on an orchid’s petals? It’s extraordinary. The patterns leaves make on a plant as a whole or the patterns they display on their surfaces can keep me hooked forever.

Over the years, I’ve gone in different directions of painting plants. This page is a good hub for the various collections, though I also have a separate page now for my fall leaves called “Autumn’s Glory” which is pretty self explanatory. Enjoy a digital walk through my plant gallery!
