I am enamored with the colors, patterns and movements of octopi. This painting is part of a series that explores these patterns with depth and different color combinations. I created an almost floral central gathering of tentacles, then repeated the sucker shapes in swirls of blue and purple through the background. It’s an abstracted riff on the forms and patterns of this incredible animal.
