I am enamored with the colors, patterns and movements of octopi. This painting is part of a series that explores these patterns with depth and different color combinations. Here, the suckers create an undulating pattern of circles, the tentacle beneath them is at times realistic and other times flattens out into illustrated forms. The background is an even closer look at the delicate folds of octopus skin in deep purples and blacks.
